Prayers

Pray for the Missionaries

My good and dear Jesus,
We pray for all the missionaries of the world,
Those who are already there and the ones that you call.
Enlighten them with faith,
Adorn them with thy nature,
Clothe them your goodness,
Shine upon them with Thy grace,
Bless them with Thy humility,
Bestow on them Thy strength
So that with gentle and resolute hearts
They walk the paths of mercy,
By Thee to be bearers of divine Love and Light
For the poor, the sick and the lonely.
Please help us and our families
To become a part of your plan,
Us to be missionaries of Love.
Amen.

Pray with a “Golden” Rosary

For missionaries we pray most often the pray with a “golden” rosary, with the intention for the Lord to make their hearts “golden” with unconditional love, meekness, and humility.

We use the rosary prayer of Our Lady:
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Instead of belief, we pray:
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, let me love you more and more.

Instead of Our Father, we pray:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins, to help souls in purgatory, and for the needs of Holy Church.

Instead of Hail, Mary, we pray:
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine.

Instead of Our heart we pray as we wish, My heart, the Heart of my family, the Heart of missionaries...

Instead of Glory, we pray:
Sweet heart of Mary, be my salvation!

Finally we pray:
Our Father... Hail Mary ... Glory...

Missionary Rosary

Characterized by various colors, this rosary is a symbol of spiritual support of Christians to missionaries, but also to the inhabitants of mission countries in need.

Each of the colors represents a continent:
  • Africa – green (stands for luxuriant vegetation and rain forests)
  • America – red (stands for skin color and temperament of the population of Latin America)
  • Europe – white (stands for skin color of population)
  • Australia and Oceania – blue (stands for geographic position, being encircled by sea)
  • Asia – yellow (stands for the skin color of population)
